Proverbs 3:1
Proverbs 3:1
My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments.
The heart is the seat of our desires, decisions, and actions, and it is from within that our true character is shaped. When we choose to keep God’s commandments in our hearts, we invite His wisdom, guidance, and protection into our lives. This verse emphasizes the importance of internalizing God’s word—letting it become a guiding force in our hearts, not just something we read or hear on the surface. When God's commandments are cherished within us, they influence how we live, how we relate to others, and how we respond to the world around us. Keeping His commandments is not a mere external act, but a heart transformation. By doing so, we align our will with God’s, walking in His ways and experiencing the fullness of His blessings. This verse serves as a reminder to nurture a heart that seeks God and treasures His word, for it leads to a life of peace, purpose, and obedience.
