Psalm 116:1
Psalm 116:1
I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.
Loving the Lord is at the heart of a faithful prayer life. The psalmist expresses his love for God because God has heard his voice and his supplications. This verse reminds us that God is not distant or indifferent to our prayers; He listens and responds with faithfulness. When we call upon God, He hears us, and His response is rooted in His love and care for us. Prayer is an expression of our love for God, and as we pray, we draw closer to Him, trusting in His faithfulness. In times of need or thanksgiving, we can confidently approach God with our prayers, knowing that He hears and responds according to His will. This is not a one-sided relationship; God’s faithfulness to listen and answer our prayers deepens our devotion to Him. As we experience His responses, we are reminded of His great love and faithfulness, and our hearts are drawn to worship and thanksgiving.
Psalm 55:17

Matthew 6:5
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men.
Acts 6:4
But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
Proverbs 15:29
The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.
