Psalm 127:3
Psalm 127:3
Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
Children are described in Scripture as a gift and a blessing from the Lord, a reward from His hand. This view reminds us of the intrinsic value and purpose that children hold in God’s eyes. Rather than viewing children as burdens, we are encouraged to see them as precious, entrusted to us by the Creator. They are not only a blessing to parents but also to the broader community and to the kingdom of God. Raising children with this perspective transforms the way we approach parenting. Instead of being overwhelmed by the challenges of raising children, we can rejoice in the opportunity to care for these little ones who are entrusted to us. We can view every moment spent with them as a precious opportunity to shape their hearts, guiding them in the ways of the Lord. In this way, parents can find joy and purpose in their roles, knowing they are participating in God’s plan for the next generation.
Psalm 8:2
Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
Mark 10:13
And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.
Psalm 71:5
For thou art my hope, O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth.
Ephesians 6:4
And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
