Psalm 145:15
Psalm 145:15
The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time.
This verse is a powerful reminder of God’s provision and the importance of trusting Him for our daily needs. Just as all creation looks to God for sustenance, we too are called to depend on Him for our provision. The psalmist beautifully illustrates how the eyes of all look to the Lord, trusting that He will provide what is needed at the proper time. This requires patience, as God’s timing is often different from our own. When we are in a season of waiting—perhaps waiting for a breakthrough, a blessing, or a much-needed answer—it can be easy to grow anxious or impatient. However, this verse encourages us to look to God with expectation, trusting that He knows exactly what we need and when we need it. The phrase "at the proper time" speaks to God’s perfect timing, which is always aligned with His plans and purposes for our lives. In moments of waiting, it is important to remind ourselves that God is faithful and that He delights in taking care of His children. Just as He provides for the birds of the air and the flowers of the field, He will provide for us. Let this verse inspire you to shift your focus away from worry and anxiety and instead place your trust in God’s loving provision. He is the source of all that we need, and His timing is always perfect, bringing exactly what is needed when it is needed most.
