Psalm 42:1
Psalm 42:1
As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God.
Just as a deer longs for flowing streams, so should our souls thirst for the living God. This verse illustrates the deep longing we should have for communion with God, comparing it to the instinctual need for water. Just as a deer cannot survive without water, our souls cannot thrive without the presence of God. In times of dryness or difficulty, we are reminded that only God can quench our deepest thirst. He is the source of our strength and peace. The relationship we share with God is not just a casual acquaintance; it is a desperate longing for His presence and guidance. As we seek Him, we find that He alone satisfies our deepest needs, providing the living water that nourishes and restores us. Let us thirst for Him continually, knowing that only in His presence can we truly be fulfilled.
John 17:3

Psalm 9:10
And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.
Jeremiah 29:12
Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.
Psalm 86:11
Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.
