Psalm 45:2
Psalm 45:2
Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.
Psalm 45:2 speaks of the beauty of a person that transcends outward appearances and points to inner grace. The verse says, "Thou art fairer than the children of men; grace is poured into thy lips; therefore God hath blessed thee forever." This description speaks not only to physical beauty but also to the deeper beauty that comes from a life characterized by grace and the favor of God. The outward beauty may fade, but it is the inner beauty—the beauty of a heart that is aligned with God—that truly endures. The "grace" poured into the lips speaks of the words of wisdom, truth, and kindness that flow from a person who has been touched by God's grace. When we live in this grace, our lives become a reflection of God's goodness, and He blesses us with favor. Beauty, then, is not just a matter of physical appearance but of the character and heart that God has shaped. True beauty is found in those who walk humbly before the Lord, seeking His will and reflecting His love to the world.
