Psalm 55:15
Psalm 55:15
Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell for wickedness is in their dwellings.
The imagery of being “seized by death” and descending into a place of judgment is a stark reminder of the moral accountability each individual carries. It speaks to the consequences of wickedness and the inescapable reality of divine justice. For those who live with disregard for righteousness, there is a spiritual consequence that lies beyond human control. This passage highlights the urgency of seeking a life aligned with God’s will, not only to avoid judgment but to embrace a life filled with purpose, compassion, and grace. God’s invitation to righteousness is not about fear but about the desire for us to live in harmony with His perfect will. It’s an encouragement to avoid paths that lead to spiritual ruin and instead seek the richness of a life lived under God’s guidance and blessing. By choosing this path, believers find peace in this life and assurance in the next.
Matthew 10:28
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Matthew 16:18
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Proverbs 15:11
Hell and destruction are before the Lord how much more then the hearts of the children of men.
Mark 9:43
It is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched.
