Psalm 93:1
Psalm 93:1
The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.
The Lord reigneth, He is clothed with majesty; the Lord is clothed with strength, wherewith He hath girded Himself; the world also is established, that it cannot be moved. Psalm 93:1 proclaims the majesty and strength of God’s reign. God is not only the Creator of the universe but also the One who sustains and upholds it with His power. His reign is unshakable, and the world is firmly established in His hands. The imagery of God being “clothed with majesty” and “strength” emphasizes His glory and the might with which He governs the world. His reign is not passive; it is active and powerful, holding everything in place. For believers, this verse provides assurance that no matter the circumstances of life, God is in control, and His reign is secure. In a world that can feel unstable and uncertain, the knowledge that God’s kingdom is immovable gives us peace and hope. As we live under His reign, we are called to trust in His power and to live in a way that reflects His majesty and strength.
