Psalms 107:29
Psalms 107:29
He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed.
Jesus’ command to calm the storm was an unforgettable demonstration of His authority over creation. When the disciples were afraid, fearing that the storm would take their lives, Jesus calmly rebuked the wind and the waves, and immediately, the storm ceased. This shows that Jesus is not only the Lord of the spiritual realm but also the Lord of nature. His power transcends all boundaries, whether they be physical, spiritual, or emotional. The disciples, who had witnessed Jesus’ miracles, were still amazed, realizing that no force in the universe could challenge Jesus’ authority. When we face the “storms” in our own lives—whether trials, challenges, or periods of fear—we must remember that Jesus has control over them all. His peace is available to us, and we can call upon His name for calm in the midst of life’s turbulence. The same Jesus who calmed the storm is with us today, offering His peace that surpasses all understanding.
Job 37:5
God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.
Jeremiah 32:27
Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
Mark 9:25
And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him.
Jeremiah 32:17
Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm.
