Psalms 119:14
Psalms 119:14
I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.
This verse speaks to the deep joy that comes from reflecting on God’s testimonies. The psalmist compares the joy of knowing God's Word to the joy of great wealth, illustrating that God’s wisdom is far more valuable than anything money can buy. The believer who delights in God’s testimonies finds that they provide guidance, peace, and comfort in times of trial. This verse calls us to seek after the wisdom found in God’s Word, valuing it more than material possessions. When we do, we find true riches—an eternal treasure that brings lasting satisfaction and joy, far beyond the fleeting pleasures of wealth.
Psalms 19:10
And the statutes, commandments, and judgments of the LORD are more to be desired than gold, yea, than much fine gold.
Psalms 35:9
My soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in his salvation.
Psalms 119:16
I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.
Isaiah 58:14
Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
