Psalms 119:66
Psalms 119:66
Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.
Psalm 119:66 says, “Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.” This prayer from the psalmist reflects a deep desire for both wisdom and understanding that comes from a relationship with God. Good judgment and knowledge are essential in living out God's commands. Without them, we can easily make poor decisions or misunderstand God's will. The psalmist acknowledges that belief in God’s commandments must be accompanied by a pursuit of deeper understanding. It is not enough to simply believe; we must ask God to teach us how to apply His Word wisely in our lives. As we grow in knowledge and judgment, we are better equipped to navigate life’s challenges and fulfill God’s purpose for us.

A wise man's heart is at his right hand; but a fool's heart at his left.

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
