Psalms 121:7
Psalms 121:7
The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
The assurance of God's protection is a constant source of comfort for believers. This verse reminds us that the Lord will preserve us from all evil, safeguarding both our physical lives and our eternal souls. The word "preserve" emphasizes God's ongoing, vigilant care, showing that His protection is not a one-time act but a continual process. In times of fear or uncertainty, we can trust in God's promise to shield us from harm. No evil, no matter how threatening, can overcome His sovereign will. This promise is rooted in faith—the belief that God is both able and willing to protect us from the forces of darkness. When we place our trust in Him, we rest in the assurance that He will preserve our souls, delivering us from the snares of the enemy. This is a call to trust God completely, knowing that He is our refuge and strength, ever present to guard and guide us through life's challenges.
Psalms 97:10
Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
Romans 12:21
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Psalms 37:27
Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
Ecclesiastes 7:20
For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.
