Psalms 135:7
Psalms 135:7
He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain.
God’s control over nature is a profound display of His power and sovereignty. He causes the vapors to rise from the earth, sending rain to nourish the land. Lightning, which often strikes unexpectedly, is under God’s command. These natural phenomena, while ordinary to us, are miracles in motion, each one a testament to God’s precise and purposeful design. This verse encourages us to look at the natural world around us—whether it be the rain, the sun, or the stars—and recognize God’s handiwork. It serves as a reminder that the Creator of the universe is also the one who sustains and governs all things. When we experience challenges in life, we can find solace in the fact that the same God who controls the elements is also in control of our lives. He is sovereign over the good and the difficult, and nothing is beyond His reach.
Luke 4:36
And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! For with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits.
2 Corinthians 10:4
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.
Psalms 107:29
He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed.
Daniel 3:17
Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us.
