Psalms 37:16
Psalms 37:16
A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.
Wealth and righteousness often stand in contrast, with many desiring riches for personal gain while overlooking the value of a virtuous life. This verse teaches that even a small portion, held in righteousness, is worth far more than the wealth of many who live in wickedness. The pursuit of financial abundance without spiritual integrity is ultimately empty, as it lacks the peace and fulfillment that only come from a life aligned with God’s will. Contentment in what we have, no matter how modest, fosters a heart of gratitude, joy, and spiritual richness. When we prioritize righteousness over riches, we align ourselves with God’s eternal rewards, which bring deeper satisfaction than any earthly possession. This path of contentment and faith allows us to appreciate our blessings, big or small, and recognize that true wealth is not measured by material accumulation but by our closeness to God and the impact of our lives on others. By living in righteousness, we experience the fullness of God’s love, a treasure far greater than gold.
Proverbs 3:9

Proverbs 28:22
He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.
Deuteronomy 8:18
But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
