Psalms 62:6
Psalms 62:6
He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be moved.
Trust in God is foundational to the believer’s peace and stability. The declaration that God is our rock and salvation affirms His unshakable nature. A rock provides a firm foundation, and salvation speaks of God’s deliverance from sin and danger. This verse declares that God alone is our defense—our security is found solely in Him. When we trust in God, we are rooted in a strength that does not waver, regardless of the circumstances. The confidence that comes from trusting God enables us to stand firm in times of trial, knowing that we shall not be moved. This is not just a fleeting assurance but a lasting promise of God’s protection and stability. Trusting in God makes us unshakeable, anchored in His faithfulness. When everything around us may crumble, those who trust in God will find that they cannot be moved. The stability that comes from this trust empowers us to face life’s challenges without fear, secure in the knowledge that our salvation and defense are in the hands of an unchanging God.
