Psalms 71:5
Psalms 71:5
For thou art my hope, O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth.
God is our refuge and fortress, providing us with shelter and protection. This verse highlights the safety and security that come from trusting in God. When we trust in God, we are placing ourselves under His protection, knowing that He is our stronghold in times of trouble. A refuge is a safe place, and a fortress is a place of defense—both of which describe the safety we find in God’s presence. Trusting in God means relying on Him for protection from both external threats and internal fears. This trust provides comfort, knowing that no matter what happens, we are safe in God’s care. Trusting in God as our refuge gives us the courage to face life’s difficulties with confidence, knowing that He will never leave us or forsake us. God’s protection is not just physical but extends to emotional, mental, and spiritual safety. When we trust in God as our refuge, we find peace and strength to endure life’s storms.
Psalms 16:8
I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
Matthew 6:34
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Psalms 2:12
Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
