Revelation 21:8
Revelation 21:8
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire.
This verse delivers a somber warning about the consequences that accompany actions rooted in fear, immorality, and disbelief. When individuals choose to reject God’s guidance, turning instead to practices that defy His nature, they distance themselves from His presence. The imagery of a burning lake is a vivid representation of eternal separation from God, a place devoid of His love and grace. It underscores the weight of our choices, reminding us that actions such as lying, idolatry, and sorcery are not mere missteps but grave errors that lead to spiritual disconnection. However, this warning is also an invitation to transformation. God’s desire is for all to turn away from such paths and seek a life in alignment with His holiness. By choosing to embrace His love and truth, we are welcomed back into His presence, where we find purpose, joy, and peace. The verse calls us to examine our lives, to abandon behaviors that hinder spiritual growth, and to pursue a path that brings us closer to God. As we reflect on this, we recognize that while judgment is real, redemption is available to all who choose to change. This choice is not about fear, but about a deep desire to live a life that reflects God’s purity and truth.

A false witness shall not be unpunished and he that speaketh lies shall perish.
Psalm 31:18
Let the lying lips be put to silence which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.
