Revelation 3:19
Revelation 3:19
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Revelation 3:19 gives us a powerful reminder, “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.” The loving discipline of God is not something to fear but to embrace. When God rebukes us, it is because He loves us and wants to see us flourish. Discipline is not a sign of rejection but a sign of God's care and commitment to our growth. Just as a loving parent disciplines their child for their good, so does God discipline His children to bring about growth, maturity, and righteousness. Repentance is the natural response to God’s discipline—turning from our mistakes and returning to the path He has set for us. God's rebuke is always aimed at bringing us back to Him, not pushing us away. His correction is always done in love and with the ultimate purpose of restoring us to full fellowship with Him.
Proverbs 15:5
A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.
Proverbs 3:12
For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
Proverbs 13:24
He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.
Hebrews 12:5
And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:.
