Romans 14:7
Romans 14:7
For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
We are reminded in this verse that our lives are not our own; we live in community, and we die in community. As members of the body of Christ, our actions affect one another, and our well-being is interconnected. This calls for a selfless attitude, one that recognizes the importance of serving and encouraging others. We are not isolated beings, but part of a greater fellowship where love, support, and unity are paramount. Living for others, and not just for ourselves, reflects the heart of Christ, who gave His life for us. The reminder that "no man dieth to himself" speaks to the deep unity we share as believers. We are called to encourage and support each other, to bear one another’s burdens, and to help each other grow in faith. Our actions, words, and choices impact the spiritual health of the community, urging us to live in such a way that we build up the body of Christ.
Hebrews 3:13
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
Romans 14:19
Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
Proverbs 25:11
A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.
1 Thessalonians 5:12
And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you.
