Romans 6:12
Romans 6:12
Do not let sin reign in your mortal body, so that you obey its evil desires.
Sin has no place in the life of a believer. When we allow sin to reign in our mortal bodies, we give it the power to control our actions and lead us away from God. The apostle Paul urges us not to obey the evil desires of the flesh, but instead to live according to the Spirit. This requires discipline and constant vigilance, as the temptation to sin is ever-present. However, when we choose to walk in the Spirit, we can resist the desires of the flesh and live in freedom. It is through self-control and a commitment to purity that we can experience victory over sin and live the life God has called us to. God promises that when we submit to His will, we will experience His power to overcome temptation and live in holiness.
Exodus 20:17
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
Matthew 5:8
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Psalm 119:9
How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word.
Romans 13:14
But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.
