Romans 6:18
Romans 6:18
Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
Freedom from sin is one of the most profound aspects of our redemption. This verse reminds us that when we are redeemed, we are not only freed from the penalty of sin but also given the opportunity to serve righteousness. In Christ, we are liberated from the power of sin, and in its place, we are called to live according to God’s will, serving righteousness. This freedom is not a mere escape from guilt but a transformation that empowers us to live in a way that honors God. As we embrace our new identity in Christ, we become His servants—living out His righteousness and reflecting His character in the world. This transformation is not by our own strength but through the power of the Holy Spirit, who works in us to bring about this change. When we surrender to God, we allow Him to work in and through us to fulfill His purposes. True freedom is found in serving God and living in alignment with His righteousness.
