Ruth 1:8
Ruth 1:8
May the Lord show you kindness, as you have shown kindness to your dead husbands and to me.
Ruth’s story highlights the blessing of showing kindness, especially in times of difficulty. When Ruth chose to stay with her mother-in-law, Naomi, she displayed a loyalty that transcended ordinary affection. This act of kindness did not go unnoticed. God rewarded Ruth’s selflessness with favor and blessings beyond what she could have expected. The kindness Ruth extended to Naomi was not merely an act of good will; it was a reflection of God’s love and faithfulness. In the same way, when we show kindness to others, especially in moments of hardship, we align ourselves with God’s character and invite His blessings into our lives. Ruth’s kindness led to her being placed in the lineage of David and ultimately Jesus, demonstrating how acts of kindness can have eternal significance. The Lord sees every act of kindness and rewards those who demonstrate love and compassion. When we show kindness, we not only bless others, but we also position ourselves to receive God’s favor. His favor opens doors, brings relationships, and secures blessings that last far beyond what we can imagine.
Psalm 34:15

Numbers 6:25

Psalm 102:13
You will arise and have mercy on Zion; for the time to favor her has come.
