Zephaniah 2:3
Zephaniah 2:3
Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land, who do his just commands; seek righteousness; seek humility.
This verse emphasizes the importance of humility, obedience, and righteousness in our pursuit of God. It begins with a call to the humble of the land—those who recognize their dependence on God. Seeking the Lord is a lifelong endeavor, requiring us to prioritize His will over our own. The call to seek righteousness is a call to live in alignment with God's standards, which often stand in contrast to the world’s values. Seeking humility is not about devaluing ourselves but about acknowledging God's sovereignty over our lives and submitting to His ways. As we seek righteousness and humility, we also grow in faith and reverence for God. This verse reminds us that these are not one-time actions but daily choices. When we humble ourselves before the Lord, we find true righteousness, peace, and alignment with His purposes. This is the path of faith that leads us to deeper intimacy with God.

Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.

My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
