Our hope is based on our confidence in God's promise, and God's love is what assures our hope. Our God is eternal, all-powerful, and faithful. He is not fickle or changeable, so we can always count on Him. Because God fulfills His promises, we’re not ashamed to have faith and hope in Him, and we’re assured that we’ll never be disappointed. It is easy to think that God's love rises and falls with our good and bad days. However, Paul helps us recognize that God's love has never been dependent on us. He has poured His love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. God's love is already in you! Even when you face suffering and difficulty, you are filled with love through the Holy Spirit. When we think about our weaknesses and sins, we may have doubts about God's love for us. If I do _____, will He still love me? The fear of losing God's love can lead us to try to earn it or think that we may somehow lose it. However, Paul reminds us in Romans 5 that God's love has been proven and applied, regardless of whether we earn it or deserve it. The love of God is given, not earned or merited. It's also a love we will never lose. Thanks be to God for His unfailing and everlasting love!
Dear Heavenly Father, I am so blessed to be Your child. Thank You for Your unconditional and never-failing love. I can overcome anything with Your love in my heart. Please remind me of that in both good and bad times. Thanks for giving us Jesus and the Holy Spirit so we can experience Your eternal love. Help me share Your love with others, and to love them as Jesus did. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.

Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
