What does it look like to be led by God? God Himself has given us a glimpse of it in this verse. The mountains and hills will sing before you, and all the trees in the field will clap their hands. Joyful, yet peaceful. Being led by someone we can't see and trusting in His leading can seem strange. So, how do we know God is leading? It won't be a dream or Jesus Himself showing up in your room and speaking to you. He leads you forth with peace. What does this look like in real life? Let's say, for example, that you need to make a decision. Maybe you're wondering whether you should take that new job with a higher pay or stick with your current one for more stability. How do you know which decision is right? One way you can find out is to pray about each choice. Take a moment to feel which choice provides you with the most peace. If you pray about your options and you feel peace about one option over another, know that often, God leads you through a sense of peace.
Dear Heavenly Father, wherever You are, there is joy and peace. I pray for Your presence at this moment. Let Your joy and peace fill this space and my heart. No matter what I face today, I pray that You will lead me through all the challenges. Empower me with Your strength and wisdom so that I can go out with joy knowing that the world is cheering for me. Father, let Your light continue to shine through me and in me. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
Isaiah 61:10
I will rejoice greatly in the Lord, my soul shall exult in my God.
Psalm 68:3
But the righteous shall be glad; they shall exult before God; they shall be jubilant with joy.
Psalm 126:5
They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
Psalms 96:11
Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.
