In the Christian faith, the central figure is not a remote, distant deity. Rather, our salvation was founded by one who experienced all of our temptations without falling into sin. Jesus had to undergo all of mankind's struggles and sufferings in order to become the perfect example for humanity and our true High Priest. This idea is expressed in a more direct manner here. Due to His earthly experience, the Lord Jesus is able to sympathize with all of our weaknesses, disappointments, rejections, and temptations. His identification with us was so close that He was made a sin for us and paid the terrible price we all deserved. In the power of the Holy Spirit, he lived a life of humble obedience to His heavenly Father. There is no doubt that we do have a great high priest who is aware of all our weaknesses. As sin is the cause of death, the sinless Son of Man did not need to die. Although He was perfect, He chose to die and willingly gave up His perfect life on the cross for our sins. It was for this reason that He gave us life in Christ so that we may have more abundant life in Him.
Dear Heavenly Father, You gave all humanity a precious gift when You sent the Lord Jesus to live as one of us and to die without sin. It is a blessing to know He fully understands the trials and troubles that every life goes through as a result of the world, flesh, and the devil. Thank You for letting me bring all of my worries to Him, knowing that He understands everything I am going through. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
