As a reward for those who faithfully obey the Lord, He shows never-ending care and faithfulness. Throughout David's life, he had witnessed the Lord's love and faithfulness. He had been protected countless times by the Lord when he faced imminent danger. As believers, we can never exhaust the Lord's love and faithfulness because the Lord will never leave us or forsake us. Our journey may not be the one we had envisioned, nor is it the one we expected to travel. No matter how difficult or dangerous the path we take may be, His grace is sufficient to overcome any obstacle we may encounter. Since He is the way, He knows what is the best path for each one of us to follow. In spite of dark and thunderous clouds, we must trust that He will guide us in the right direction. By trusting His Word, executing His will, abiding in Him, and remaining faithful to Him, we will be able to bear the fruit of patience and enhance the quality of our faith. Through His way, we will be able to grow in grace, mature in the faith, and gain a deeper understanding of God. He desires that we enjoy an uninterrupted and satisfying relationship with Him.
Dear Heavenly Father, Your guidance is what I need today. Let Your love and faithfulness lead me along a level path for the sake of Your name. Father, I thank You for being a faithful God and for leading and guiding me along Your path and for correcting and training me along the way. Throughout my life, I will rely on You to steer me along the path of righteousness. Please show me today how to honor You and contribute to Your work in the world. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.

Psalms 103:17
The mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children.
Psalms 36:5
Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.
Matthew 9:13
But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
