By faith in Jesus, Paul has been granted grace and apostleship, which confers authority upon him to speak on behalf of Christ. Having been sent by Christ, he is responsible for bringing about obedience to faith in Him. In other words, Christ invites people to believe in Him. The act of believing is obedience, both in becoming a Christian and in living our lives in Christ. Despite the simplicity of the gospel, so few people are willing to humble themselves under God's mighty hand and believe in the only begotten Son of His love. By God's grace, the gospel is freely given. Everyone is welcome to join His heavenly family and is encouraged to buy without money and without cost. Through Him, salvation is given as a gift of grace to all who call on the name of the Lord, who shall not perish but have everlasting life. As it is not God's will that anyone should perish, salvation is offered as a free gift of His grace, and Paul was God's chosen vessel. As an apostle, he was chosen to spread the wonders of God's love by receiving God's grace and apostleship.
Dear Heavenly Father, Your grace has poured out on me through Paul. Thank You for justifying me through faith in Christ so that I can now have peace with You. Help us to let go of whining, complaining, and pouting as we dive deeper into this gospel's riches. Through an understanding of this glorious gospel of grace and peace, may I remain obedient to Your Word until the end of my life. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
Romans 1:7
Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:8
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
2 Corinthians 8:9
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
