Life can be really tough at times. In those tough times, what do you do? Where do you go? Who do you lean on? Your answers to these questions can reveal the foundation of your life. God is our refuge and strength. He is always there to help us when we are in trouble. When you don’t know how to accomplish a task, He wants to be your source of wisdom. When you don't think you can overcome your fear, He wants to be your strength. When the weight of sorrow overwhelms you, He wants to be your comforter. While things may seem far when you don't see them, God is always nearby. No matter what trouble you face, He is present, and He is in it with you. What a comfort! Allow God to be your helper today if something is troubling you. Ask Him for anything, and He will give it to you (Matthew 7:7). He is your refuge and strength.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me strength during difficult times and being my refuge when I am hurt. I would not be able to get through them without You. Please stay close to me, Lord, as I face the stresses and challenges in my life. Guide me in every decision that I make. Help me to be an example for others as I pass through the storms in my life through the power of Your Spirit so that they will see that nothing is impossible with You. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
