God's Word is simple and straightforward. His instructions are clear and direct. However, we often like to embellish biblical principles to sound smart and knowledgeable even when we are far from being that. Our Bible verse clearly explains the two things we must do to see God - following peace with all men and living in holiness. We have read many books, listened to countless sermons, and attended different Bible studies and conferences about holy living and righteousness. However, we barely mention the significance of accommodating people irrespective of their tribe, tongue, and religion. We find believers today who hate people practicing other religions but preach about love in the church. We see Christians say spiteful things about people of another race or ethnicity but lift holy hands on Sunday. The scripture does not tell us to discriminate but to love everyone around us, even our enemies. We must follow peace with them by ignoring their weaknesses and offenses, accepting our mistakes, and apologizing. We must choose to be tolerant and embrace our differences. This is what God wants us to do. He wants our lives to be a reflection of His love for others. Make up your mind today to live a balanced life by loving God and all His people. Remember, only by doing these will you see God.
Dear Heavenly Father, please give me the grace to follow peace with all men. Teach me to be patient and tolerant. Give me a forgiving spirit to forgive mistakes just as You forgive me daily. Please give me the grace to embrace individual differences and weaknesses. Above all, help me to live a holy and righteous life, obeying Your Word in faithfulness and sincerity. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
John 20:21
Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
Proverbs 27:15
A quarrelsome wife is like the constant dripping of a leaky roof.
Matthew 24:6
And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
