Inspiration
Have you ever felt ashamed of the Gospel? In a world that is so against Christianity and finds it to be something that should be mocked, it can be intimidating to openly share your faith and profess Jesus to be Lord in front of others. However, as Paul professes here in Romans, we are called to be unashamed of the Gospel of Christ.
Why should we be unashamed of the Gospel? We should boldly proclaim the Gospel because it is the only thing that has the power of salvation. If we believe in sin and that Jesus is the only way to remedy the affliction of sin, then we should be proclaiming the truth of Jesus’ salvation to all who will hear!
Instead of being ashamed, we should boldly tell people about the salvation that they can have through Jesus Christ because we have experienced the life that He brings to us. We should, therefore, want others to be able to live as well. Although this is easier said than done, if you truly ask God for a heart for the lost, you will quickly realize that this is how you can best love those around you.
Share the Gospel, for it is the very power of salvation through Jesus.
Prayer
Dear Lord, I'm sorry if I've ever been ashamed of the Gospel. I pray that You would give me the strength and courage to preach the Gospel to all those whom I interact with. Help me to proclaim the Gospel of salvation to the lost and dying world, and help me to be proud of my faith in You. Even when people mock and laugh at me, I ask that You give me the strength to stand tall and know that I love them by giving them the hope of salvation that I myself have in Jesus.
In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
