Have you ever sat down to ask yourself why you still lack peace despite all the good things you have? Isn't it ironic that money, which looks like the answer to all your problems, isn't solving the peace of mind problem? What about your relationship or job? Do they fill that void in your heart? So, what could be the problem?
God's Word shows what might be the problem of lack of peace in your life. It says you have failed to do what you've learned, received, heard, and seen in His Word. You have refused to obey His Word and do things that please Him. Instead, you have chosen to live in sin, flouting His commandments. The Bible says God's eyes are too holy to behold iniquity (Habakkuk 1:13). If He doesn't want to see sin, He definitely doesn't want to be close to anyone who gets involved in it.
The implication of God staying far from you is that the devil gains unrestricted access to you. The Bible says in John 10:10 that the devil has three primary missions: steal, kill and destroy. He does these three things to steal your joy and peace of mind if you live in sin. However, Jesus is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). He has come to lift the burden in your heart and give you rest. He has come to calm every raging storm and restore perfect peace. But you must give Him a chance first by accepting Him, renouncing sin, and obeying Him.
Do you want the God of peace to be with you? Then do all you've learned, received, heard, and seen Him do.

Dear Heavenly Father, You are the Prince of Peace. I call upon You today to come into my life and bring peace to my troubled heart. Please, command every raging storm in all areas of my life to cease. Help me forsake sin so my heart will be a suitable place for You to stay. Help me to obey Your Word continually so that Your peaceful presence will never depart from me.
