A hedge is a fence that protects a building or a piece of land. In finance and investment, a hedge means protecting yourself against financial loss or adverse economic situations like inflation. In our Bible verse, Satan acknowledged how God had built a hedge around Job, his house, and all he had. He also acknowledged how God had blessed the work of Job's hands and made him experience increase and fruitfulness. Satan said this not because he was happy for Job but because he couldn't afflict Job and destroy his possessions. So, we learn from this scripture that Satan is very much active in his business of stealing, killing, and destroying the good things God has blessed you with (John 10:10). However, you, your household, and your possessions become untouchable if God is by your side. God built a hedge around Job and blessed him because he was an upright man who feared the Lord (Job 1:1-5). Do you fear the Lord and do His will? God is interested in every area of your life. He can protect you from experiencing monumental losses in your business and investments by giving you divine insights. He can make your business and career flourish beyond your capacity. However, you must prioritize Him in your life, so you do not become prey to the devil.
Dear Heavenly Father, You are the protector of the universe and the giver of good gifts. I ask You today to build a hedge around me, my family, and my possessions. Keep the enemy far from me and render his efforts to steal, kill and destroy me useless. Bless the work of my hands and make me experience prosperity in all areas of my life. Give me divine direction to always make the right investment decisions. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
Psalm 5:12
For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
John 17:11
And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
Psalms 46:1
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psalms 34:7
The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
