Inspiration
As a teacher, you take pleasure in the academic prowess of your pupils. You can do anything to express your delight by rewarding them. Likewise, parents derive joy in the growth and development of their children. One can go the extra mile to satisfy their needs and ensure they are happy because they have gladdened our hearts.
To enjoy the rewards of God's blessings, we must also take pleasure in the things that gladden His heart. Our love for God should be the underlying factor for wanting to please Him. Our desire to be in a loving relationship with Him should not be based solely on our predictions of what we can gain from the relationship but on His mercy and goodness.
We delight ourselves in God when we do things that give Him joy and pleasure. God desires to be the most important personality in our lives. He is pleased when we have complete faith in Him and faithfully obeys His commands. He delights in justice and righteousness but hates iniquity. He takes pleasure when His children prosper and live in health.
When we desire the things that are uppermost in His heart, and we will be aligned with His, we will be granted anything we ask for.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, I am thankful for Your goodness and unending mercies. I am grateful for the daily benefits I enjoy. I am sorry for all the times I have walked out of your will. As of today, with the help of the Holy Spirit, I commit to loving the things that matter most to You. As I continue to learn more about You and Your will, may I receive the grace to please You in every area of my life and be blessed.
In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
