10 mins a day, closer to God.
Have you ever felt like God was calling you to do something, but you didn’t feel able or equipped to do it? Maybe you didn’t feel like you had what you needed to be able to accomplish what God set before you. However, look at what Jesus says in Luke 11:13. When we ask God to give us what we need, we can be confident that He knows how to give good gifts to His children. God is not a vending machine that you can simply get whatever you want from. Instead, when He gives, He gives according to what we actually need, not necessarily what we want. This is an amazing truth that we can cling to because this means that no matter what happens, God is going to give you what you need when you ask Him for it. You no longer have to doubt your future when you are striving to accomplish His work on this earth. Place your confidence in the Lord, and He will fulfill all things at the right time.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for being a giver of good gifts. Thank You for gifting me with the Holy Spirit in a way that is personal and helpful. Lord, even though I don't always pray to You or ask You for what I need, You still know what I need regardless, and I can be confident that You will provide me with it at the right time. Thank You for being a God with whom I can place my trust and confidence every single day. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
John 14:16
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Romans 8:16
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
1 Peter 2:5
Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Galatians 5:22
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,.
