10 mins a day, closer to God.
Many people have failed to understand that being religious is not the same as being spiritual. There are several religions in the world with the aim of connecting humanity with divinity. God desires an intimate relationship with man, which can only be achieved through the sent One Jesus Christ. This is why Christianity is not just a religion but a way to know God, to be intimate with Him, and to live a God-like life. One of the ingredients for every successful relationship is communication. In this loving relationship between God and man, we communicate through the agency of prayer. Our walk with God can be sustained through the livewire of a consistent prayer life. Prayer is not a religious activity we observe because we are Christians, but a means of connecting with the realm of God. It is a spiritual activity because it is a conversation between the spirit of man and the Father of all spirits. As believers, we understand that God expects us to make prayer a habit and to also be persistent until we receive what we are asking for. We must also remember that we are constantly at war with evil and that we must win. Even when we have been armored for the battle, we cannot deny that prayer is essential to living a continued, victorious life. Therefore, be prayerful. A Christian who does not pray is powerless and will live a defeated life.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for answering whenever I call upon You. I am grateful for the prayers You didn’t answer because You know what is best for me. Lord, I ask that You will strengthen me to pray without giving up or getting tired. Send me help from the Holy Spirit to pray according to Your will. Also, help me bring the burdens of others before You. I am thankful for the victory I have received through Jesus. I pray in the presence of Your Holy Spirit. Amen.
