When we observe the works of creation, one cannot help but notice the intelligence of an excellent creator. The design and operation of the universe have the DNA of God's wisdom imprinted all over them. God in His benevolence and love gave man the intelligent wisdom to recreate his environment, coordinate the management of resources in his care, and put things in order. The products of scientific inventions and technological advancements in our world are proof of God's wisdom at work in man. God is pleased when man discharges his dominion mandate upon the earth. Humans, however, pride themselves on the work of their hands believing they know it all rather than giving glory to God. It is this vain mindset that gave birth to the theory of the nonexistence of God, and that the Earth was not created, but rather came from matter. Despite this, human wisdom cannot unravel nor understand the mystery behind God's ways and His methods of executing His intentions. God's method for salvation through the death of Jesus does not apply to our sense of rational thinking hence rejection of the gospel. As believers, it is important for us to beware of the well-crafted ideas or teachings of these unbelieving, yet influential teachers. Their wisdom will not save them when they stand before God during judgment.
Dear Heavenly Father, I acknowledge the excellence and beauty of Your works. I am thankful that You gave man the intelligence to manage the work of Your hands on earth. Your wisdom is unfathomable, and Your ways are beyond comprehension. I bless You for Your wonderful works and for the way You chose to save the world from sin. Lord, I ask that You help me not to be full of myself. Help me obey You even when it doesn't make sense to my limited human understanding. In Jesus's name, I submit to Your will. Amen.
Ecclesiastes 7:9
Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.
Psalms 111:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
Proverbs 8:11
For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
Proverbs 3:7
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
