What is the difference between the law and the grace of Jesus? Both gave commands to follow, but only one supplied the enablement. The grace of Jesus gives men the power to say no to ungodliness. When the law came some thousand years ago, or so, it was given for a good reason. The law is good and beneficial to man, the only problem being man’s limitation because of the weak flesh. So, what did God do? He solved that problem in His Son, Jesus Christ. When the law was read in old times without the instrument of the Spirit, a veil stood between man and the truth. Glory be to God because of Jesus; by grace, we are saved through faith. By the blood of Jesus, salvation is freely given to anyone who believes. This is the grace of Jesus. It is the provision of a pathway that cannot be obstructed. When we come into Christ, the power to know the truth that makes us free is also released into the heart of every believer through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Because of Jesus, the grace for salvation and access to the truth of God’s word is accessible to all men.
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for the grace given to me through Your Son Jesus Christ. It is because of this grace that I have full access to all that You are and all that You have for me. The truth will make me free as I continue to desire the pure milk of the world. Guide me on the path of life so that I may enjoy all the heavenly blessings You have prepared for me now that I am in Christ. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
Psalms 33:22
Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
Psalms 119:153
Consider mine affliction, and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law.
James 2:10
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
Proverbs 6:23
For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life.
