When we are hungry for food and thirsty for water, it’s because we hope to be satisfied. We have a natural craving for food and water because of the important roles they play in human growth. There is also a spiritual yearning that can be satisfied; it is the hunger and thirst for righteousness. We must pay attention to a profound truth here - Just as natural hunger and thirst are not satisfied once and forever, so is the spiritual. Much like we sometimes misinterpret Matthew 6:33 to think that Jesus meant to seek the kingdom as a one-off affair, most likely at the altar call. Not so! Seeking the righteousness of God is a state of perpetual hunger and thirst to do the things that are good, pleasing and honorable before God. The life of a believer is one that shines the light of God’s righteousness on a dark world. The righteousness of God is everything that constitutes His characteristics. A summary of righteousness can be found in Galatians 5:22-23. It is popularly known as the "fruit of the Spirit.” They are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, and self-control. These intrinsic characteristics define the immortal God. So, when we hunger and thirst for righteousness, it’s a yearning for the Holy Spirit to live in us and bear the fruit of His righteous presence. It is the life of power and glory just as God has called us. The assurance is that when you desire to be satisfied, you will get a plate full of righteousness. However, to be satisfied you must hunger and thirst for righteousness.
Dear Heavenly Father, increase my hunger and thirst for Your righteous ways. Help me continually seek the glorious nature of Your divinity which comes from the empowerment of Your Spirit in me. I want more of Your life to be formed in me every day. Help me listen to the instructions that come as an answer to my prayer of sustaining a righteous disposition. Help me obey the statutes that come from the voice of the Spirit and to do all that Your word teaches me to do。 In Jesus’s name I pray. Amen.
Psalms 37:28

1 Corinthians 4:21
What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness?

Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
