10 mins a day, closer to God.
This verse speaks of the eternal nature of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. It highlights that while the physical world and all that is in it will one day pass away, Jesus will remain forever. This verse reminds us of the hope and security we have in Christ, as we are united with Him and made a new creation in Him. Through faith in Jesus, we have the promise of an eternal future with Him, in a new heaven and a new earth. As believers, we belong to a new creation in Christ. We have transitioned from death to life, from guilt to grace through faith in Jesus. It was through God's mercy that He sent His Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins. We were made part of this new creation when we put our faith in Jesus and His death provided us with new life, redeemed life, and eternal life. The current heaven and earth will eventually fade away like a garment, but Christ Jesus, the everlasting and living Word of God, will endure forever. As His people and sheep, we are united with Him and made new in Him. By His grace, we will see a new heaven and earth, as the first ones will pass away.
Dear Heavenly Father, You are the eternal, living Word of God who will remain forever and ever. I am grateful to be Your child and have Your Spirit living in me. Your grace has made me a new creation in Christ, and I trust in Your promise of a new heaven and a new earth. Thank You for always being with me and guiding me through this temporary life. I pray to live in a way that brings honor and glory to Your name. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
