10 mins a day, closer to God.
Have you suffered rejection or hate simply because you have differing beliefs from others? Have you been publicly or secretly persecuted because of your faith? During the Bible days, believers were severely persecuted for professing Jesus as Lord and Savior. They were punished, hated, and threatened. Some were even martyred all for the sake of the gospel. This was done to make them deny their faith and turn back from following the Lord. Similar acts of persecution have risen against believers all over the world. There are a lot of events around us that mount pressure on believers to withdraw their faith and stop being followers of Christ. We are tempted every day to sin against God. Nations make laws and policies that make life difficult and miserable, which might lead one to sin for survival. Each day comes with its own woes. However, it is up to us to decide whether we will succumb to the pressure to sin or choose to remain in solidarity with Christ. A life of pain and hardship would not be easy, but those who endured them with patience will be saved for eternity.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the assurance that I am not alone and that I will not be abandoned in any situation I find myself in. I pray that You grant me the grace to follow You to the end without compromising my faith. I ask that the Holy Spirit teach me to persevere through the hardships and trials that will come my way because of my decision to follow You. May I receive inner strength to rise above every temptation that will cause me to deny You by committing sin. Help me be true to You and stand strong for You. In Jesus's name. Amen.
Colossians 3:15
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
John 17:21
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us.
Acts 2:1
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
Romans 12:5
So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
