10 mins a day, closer to God.
The author of Hebrews exhorts his readers to pay careful attention to what they have heard, lest they drift away from it. He emphasizes the importance of their salvation, which was first proclaimed by the Lord and then confirmed to them by those who heard him. The author urges them to hold fast to their faith and warns against neglecting it, for there is no escape from the consequences of neglecting such a great salvation. If it was crucial for man to listen to God's prophets in the past, how much more crucial is it to heed the incarnate Word of God - the Word made flesh Who lived among us? It's essential that we, who have received the full revelation of God through the written Scriptures, do not drift away from the truth of the glorious gospel of grace that Jesus came to fulfill on behalf of all who believe in His name - in fulfillment of God's promises to His people, Israel. Scripture reminds us to walk worthy of our calling, to fight for our faith, to avoid earthly desires that tempt our souls, and to encourage each other daily. May we take these warnings to heart and remain vigilant, lest we are deceived by sin or become apathetic towards our relationship with God. Let us hold fast to our faith and remain steadfast in our love for the Lord, always striving to grow in His grace and knowledge.
Dear Heavenly Father, help me to pay closer attention to the truths that You have revealed through Your Son and the prophets. May I not neglect the great salvation that was accomplished for me on the cross, but rather hold fast to the gospel message and walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. Guard my heart from drifting away from the truth and being deceived by sin. Thank You for Your grace and mercy that sustains me each day. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.

The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.
1 Peter 1:20
