Have you ever seen a mother hen with her chicks when a predator, usually a hawk, is nearby? She does not wait to lose any of her young ones. Instead, she swings into action by calling out to them and protectively covering them under her wings. Her motherly instinct causes her to look out for her chicks and keep them out of harm’s way. As parents, the love we have for our children makes us go all out for them, ensuring that they have all they need to live comfortably. We make certain decisions on their behalf because we want the best for them and to protect them from danger. God, as a loving Father, cares so much about us, and He desires that we lead easy lives. This is why the Bible is filled with promises of His blessings to assure us that He has our best interests at heart. The above verse is one of these many promises - here’s God assuring you that He would go before you and do the impossible. Life is filled with challenges, some of which may seem insurmountable, but the Almighty promises to bring down every obstacle. Since God is omniscient, has foreknowledge of all things, and always looks out for us, we can trust that He will prepare us for the challenges to come and protect us from any harm.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for looking out for me and for ensuring my safety. Thank You for giving me victory over the obstacles in my life. I am grateful because I am the true definition of Your goodness and favor. Please let me be freed from every bondage that has hindered my progress and kept me stagnant. Give me the strength to overcome fear and worry when I face an insurmountable challenge. Nothing is impossible with You. I will put my trust in You. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
