Romans 6:4 states that we have been buried with Christ through baptism into death so that we might also walk in newness of life. This verse teaches us about the power of baptism and its significance in our lives. Baptism is not only a symbol of our faith, but it is also a powerful declaration of our identification with Christ's death and resurrection. This verse reminds us that our old self, our sinful nature, was crucified with Christ on the cross, and we were raised to a new life in Him. We are no longer slaves to sin, but rather, we have been set free to live a life of righteousness and holiness. This is a powerful reminder of the transformative power of Christ in our lives and the hope that we have in Him. As we reflect on this verse, let us be reminded of the incredible gift that we have been given through Christ's sacrifice on the cross. Let us renew our commitment to live a life that is pleasing to God and to walk in the newness of life that He has given us. May we be encouraged to put off our old ways and embrace the new life that Christ has given us, for it is only through Him that we have been made new?
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for the promise of new life in Christ. As this verse says, I am buried with Him through baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead by Your glory, I too may walk in newness of life. I pray that You would help me to live out this truth each day, dying to sin and living for righteousness. May Your Holy Spirit continue to transform me and make me more like Christ so that I may glorify You in all that I do. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.

Matthew 3:16
And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him.
Galatians 3:27
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
1 Peter 3:21
The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
