10 mins a day, closer to God.
Most people tend to talk more than act, lacking performance when it counts. However, in matters of spirituality and the kingdom of God, power is more effective than speech. It takes power to act, and we should never underestimate the reality of the spiritual realm. Christianity is a way of life that demands we "walk the talk." It is not a system of behavior modification and does not promote a lifestyle that breeds hypocrisy or deceit. Jesus lived a life of power and proved His divine nature by casting out demons, having authority over nature and spirits, and living so powerfully righteous that sin had no dominion over Him. Paul the Apostle had an issue with those who claimed to have the Holy Spirit but had nothing to show for it. How can we say we have the fullness of power in the Holy Spirit yet not have anything to prove that power? Of course, there's a place for growing spiritually, but we must outgrow powerlessness and eventually become spiritual giants who walk the talk. Our walk is about power and not just conversation. We must always be ready to display the power of God in everything we do. If we say God can save, heal, and deliver, our lives should reflect it. We must not just speak about power but also act upon it. Our lives are not ordinary, and the supernatural should be the norm in our lives every day. This is the way to manifest the kingdom of God while living in this body of flesh.
Dear Heavenly Father, may Your kingdom find complete expression in my life. I don't want to be talkative without proof. I want my life to be evidence of Your power. I want You to show me the way of power in the kingdom. Help me to pray and seek You with all my heart day and night. Help me fill my heart with the word of Your truth and righteousness. Help me to give my time to sincerely serve Your purpose on earth. Teach me to do all I must do to make Your power flow in and through my life. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
Ephesians 1:19
And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power.
Psalms 62:11
God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.
2 Corinthians 12:9
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Ephesians 6:10
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
