10 mins a day, closer to God.
Have you been in a situation that is draining, either physically, mentally, or emotionally? Have you been so confused in making a decision, worried or anxious about a need? As humans, different phases of life come with their troubles. The inability to proffer solutions to our problems or find relief can cause us to feel burdened. Pressure to meet deadlines at work, family responsibilities, loss, or tragedy can clutter our minds, thereby increasing stress. Feelings of guilt for doing wrong, unforgiveness, bitterness, sorrow, or sadness can burden our hearts if they linger. Usually, the issues that put extra weight on us are beyond our control. When we bear our burdens alone without sharing or seeking help, we become worn out and retrogressed. When we go through situations that are beyond our capacity and control, we should be aware that God is always with us to help. Instead of being in a state of depression due to the weight we carry in our hearts, we should rely on God and allow Him to bear our burdens. We would find rest for our souls if we could trust God with our troubles and cast them in Him. He is closer to us than we can imagine, and He is always there to help in times of trouble.
Dear Heavenly Father, as I read Psalm 55:22, I am reminded of Your promise to sustain us and carry us through the trials and challenges of life. I confess that I often try to carry my burdens alone instead of trusting in You and casting my cares upon You. Help me to release my worries and anxieties to You, knowing that You care for me and will provide for my every need. May Your peace fill my heart and mind, and may Your strength empower me to face each day with confidence and hope. Thank You for Your unending love and faithfulness. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
1 Peter 4:12
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you.
Proverbs 24:10
If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.
Psalms 66:10
For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.
1 Peter 5:10
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
