10 mins a day, closer to God.
In a world filled with confusion and uncertainty, we often find ourselves searching for direction and meaning in our lives. We may feel disconnected from God, unsure of our place in His plan, and wonder how He could still love us when we stumble and fall. The story of Hosea and his relationship with Gomer, a woman who was unfaithful to him, mirrors our own relationship with God. This verse serves as a sobering reminder that when we turn away from God and His commandments, we risk losing our connection with Him. However, it is also a story of God's unwavering love and commitment to His people. Despite their unfaithfulness, God continues to pursue and redeem His people, just as Hosea pursued and redeemed Gomer. As believers, we should recognize the depth of God's love for us, even when we fail to live up to His expectations. We must turn our hearts back to Him and seek to strengthen our relationship with our Creator. In doing so, we can experience the fullness of His grace, mercy, and forgiveness and find our true identity as His beloved children.
Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You today, acknowledging my imperfections and my tendency to stray from Your path. I am humbled by the story of Hosea and Gomer, and I recognize the parallels to my own relationship with You. Thank You for Your unfailing love and Your willingness to pursue and redeem me even when I falter. Help me to turn my heart back to You and to seek to strengthen my relationship with You. May I experience the fullness of Your grace, mercy, and forgiveness and find my true identity as Your beloved child. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.

John 15:5
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

You shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.
