In this verse, God describes eternal life as a free gift that is given by Christ Jesus our Lord. By putting our trust in Christ, God gives us the credit for Christ's perfect, sinless life and accepts the payment of Christ's death for our sins. He gives us eternal life as a gift and allows us to share in His glory. Salvation, which includes the gift of eternal life, cannot be bought or earned by the kind deeds we do, the generous giving we make, or the mountain of money we give. It is important to understand that salvation is a gift that comes from God. The promise of eternal life is open to all men and women. Nevertheless, there is one condition, and only one condition, for it. Only through Jesus Christ can we have free access to salvation. All who place their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ can receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life as God's free gift. Just like what Paul told the Philippian jailer: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." (Acts 16:31)
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for saving me from eternal death. I am a sinner and deserve eternal death and the lake of fire. I am afraid that it is not my place to enter Your heavenly home. However, I believe the Lord Jesus died on Calvary's Cross for my sins, and I sincerely accept Your free gift of salvation and eternal life through Jesus. Thank You for Your indescribable gift. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
Mark 16:15
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Philippians 3:20
For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
John 5:24
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
1 Thessalonians 5:9
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.
