This verse reminds us to praise God with our whole hearts and never forget about the good things that He has done for us in our lives. According to many studies, we remember negative experiences more often than positive ones since our brains are hardwired to notice a bad experience sooner and remember it longer so that we can protect ourselves when we encounter similar situations again. When we focus on the miseries in our lives, we forget about the blessings that God has provided - He keeps us safe, heals our diseases, answers our prayers, surrounds us with love, forgives our sins, and redeems us from death. Even though we don't deserve any of them, God has provided them to us as free gifts. No matter how difficult life gets, we can always count on God's blessings. If He has done it, He will do it again. He is the same God yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Let's praise God for all He has done!
Dear Heavenly Father, how blessed I am to call You my Father. Thank You for Your protections; thank You for Your mercy; thank You for Your forgiveness; and thank You for Your unconditional love. Help me to always remember the good things You have done for me and not dwell into my miseries. In times of hardship, I pray to You for strength and patience to see Your plan unfold. Whatever You have in store for me is far better than anything I could imagine for myself. May I sing Your praise with my whole being, for You alone are worthy. LORD bless me. In Jesus’s name I pray. Amen.
