In John 16:5–7, Jesus described difficult times that await those who follow Him after He leaves the earth. His words have pointed to a time of intense persecution, death, and hatred for anyone associated with the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus also prophesied that the gospel would be proclaimed throughout the world in this verse. It would come to an end. It means that He will return as a king and judge. The Church today has been called to preach the gospel of God's grace. It is a message that has been faithfully proclaimed for more than 2000 years. We will continue to preach this message to this lost and dying world until Jesus returns in the clouds to take us to be with Him. This gospel proclaims that Christ has died to cover the sins of the whole world, has risen from the dead, and sits at the right hand of God so that all who believe in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. Until the end of the Church age, the gospel of grace will continue to be spread. At that time, the gospel of the Kingdom will once again be proclaimed throughout the world. The gospel of God's grace will continue to be preached until the end, never ceasing.
Dear Heavenly Father, let us praise You that God's gifts and calling are irrevocable. Thank You that the gospel will be proclaimed to all nations. By faith in Christ, I have been saved. Thank You that Israel will once again proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom to a lost and dying world one day. During that time of terrible tribulation, we pray that a great multitude will be saved. We give You all the praise and glory for Your goodness and grace. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
Luke 10:2
Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.
1 Corinthians 1:17
For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel.
Romans 10:15
And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!.
2 Timothy 4:2
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
